HERITAGE WALK

A Heritage Walk was organized at Pataleshwar Caves and Jungli Maharaj Mandir on 3rd February 2023 by the Department of History.  The heritage walk was organized with a view so that the students were able to get an in-depth knowledge of the Jungli Maharaj Temple and the ancient Pataleshwar Temple, a site conserved under the Archaeological Survey of India. It was an initiative to connect the new generation and youth with our rich heritage.  Along with the students, some citizens also took advantage of this heritage walk.  The program was also supported by the National History Council. The heritage walk became a subject of curiosity and joy for the students.  A large amount of awareness was created in this regard through print and social media.  The students also got a chance to do something new and learn about their heritage through such activities.  They realized how important it is to preserve their heritage.  As some European citizens were also present at the place, the students got an opportunity to interact with them.  The walk was organized by Prof. Manasi Bhosale. and all other department staff members were also present on this occasion.
