Student’s achievements:


  1. Anjali Gawade from the Post Graduate Department of Botany participated in an oral presentation at the 4th International Conference on Recent Advances in Bio-Energy Research (ICRABR) held at Sardar Swaran Singh National Institute of Bio-energy, Kapurthala, Punjab in 2023.
  2. Diksha Siswaal from the PostGraduate Department of Botany won first prize in the Intercollegiate Oral Presentation Competition organised by the Department of Botany, Nowrosjee Wadia College Pune in January 2020.
  3. Shruti Kulkarni from the PostGraduate Department of Botany won the Consolation Prize in the Intercollegiate Project Competition organised by the Department of Botany, Nowrosjee Wadia College Pune in January 2020.
  4. Sharanpreet Gabbi and Anushree Aher, M.Sc. Part 1 students participated in “Regional Product and Poster competition” under DBT in Modern College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Ganeshkhind.
  5. Om Sontakke, a TYBSc Botany student contributed to the research activities in the department and successfully published four research papers in the reputed national and international research journals.
  6. Ganesh Mankar, a TYBSc Botany student completed his postgraduation from the SPPU. He qualified the CSIR-NET JRF examination to earn the fellowship to pursue research leading to PhD of SSPU, Pune, which he completed in the year 2022. He also qualified SET, GATE and ICAR-NET examinations.
  7. Swapnil Pawar, a TYBSc Botany student secured the Dr Abdul Kalam Young Research Fellowship in 2019-20 and also qualified SET examination.
  8. Miss Arati Vasav, TYBSc Botany student completed her postgraduation from SPPU Pune and was awarded with the PhD degree of SPPU Pune.
  9. Kaustubh Yadre, a TYBSc Botany student has become an entrepreneur and has developed a company named Myco Compost which supplies industrial grade composting solutions.
  10. Ajinkya Terkar, a TYBSc Botany student, completed his PhD from the SPPU, Pune and after joining the Avantika University participated in the MSME Idea Hackathon 4.0 and won the funding of Rs 15 lakh for his research proposal based on the theme of Frontier Technology.
