- The Library and Information Centre is fully automated with KOHA ILMS.
- The Library collection is developed keeping in mind the interests and needs of all its users. It contains general course related books, specialized books, general reference books, special subject oriented reference books, rare collections, Audio and Video CDs, e-book CDs, e-journals (in print form). The collection comprises of books in English, Hindi, Marathi and Sanskrit language. Majority of the famous literary works by the Indian and foreign eminent authors are added in the collection. The periodical collection is also divided into general and subject related periodicals.
- The college library is a Member of INFLIBNET’s N-LIST Programme through which e-resources can be accessed of renowned Academic Publishers like Cambridge, Elsevier, Springer, Oxford, Academic Press etc. It provides access to peer-reviewed journal articles of all subjects with a special collection of Scientific Journals. Downloading of e-books is also provided. Along with NLIST the library is also a member of DELNET; Jayakar Knowledge Resource Centre Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune; Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Pune; National Digital Library Repository.
- Throughout the year the library receives donations of books from various Central and State Government Institutes and from Individuals. The library has an excellent collection of Rare Books which dates back to 1830s and huge collection of Reference Sources like Encyclopedia (General and Subject Specific), Dictionaries (General and Subject Specific), Biographies, Directories, Almanacs, and Yearbooks etc.
- Every year several Visually Impaired students take admission in Modern College, Shivajinagar. The College as a whole, takes special care of these students. Library has special collection and facilities which is provided to the Visually Impaired students.
- Drillbit-online Plagiarism Detection Software is available in the library.
