Research activities of the faculty members:

Out of 3 faculties in the department, 2 have PhDs, and the remaining one faculty is pursuing his Ph.D.  The faculties also attend various activities conducted by the Research Cell of the college. Following are the details of their research activities.

1) Dr. Neha Dixit

  1. Title of Ph.D Thesis: Study of HRD Practices in Urban Co-operative Banks in Pune District. Ph.D awarded in September 2010.
  2. Title of M.Phil Dissertation: Study of HR practices in Sudershan Chemical Industries Ltd-Pune. M.Phil Degree awarded in April 2002.
  3. Completed a Minor Research Project funded by SPPU, Pune, on the ‘Study of Absenteeism among Commerce Undergraduate Students in Pune City’ in 2013-15.
  4. Research papers published: State (01), National (04), International (8).

2) Dr. Ashish S. Gade

  1. Title of Ph.D Thesis: A Critical Study of Problems and Prospects in Implementation of Cashless Transaction and its impact on Unorganised Retail Sector. Ph.D awarded in February 2023.
  2. Title of M.Phil Dissertation: A Study of Financial Literacy of Small Scale Women Entrepreneurs in Informal Sector in Pune City. M.Phil Degree awarded in October 2018.
  3. Research papers published: State (02), National (03), International (10).

3) Prof. Prakash Vasal

  1. Pursuing Ph.D
  2. Research papers published: State (02).

Research activities of the students:

  • Under SPPU and Autonomy, all our third-year students have been presenting a research project in Semester VI.
  • Under the NEP pattern, all students of the second year and third year have been working on field projects and community engagement projects. In this type of projects, they work on small sample size
