Activities conducted

Guest lecturers: The Zoology Association organises guest lectures by scientists, researchers, entrepreneurs, academicians, alumni and wildlife conservators for students’ benefit.
Zoofest: Zoofest activity is conducted every year, which consists of various competitions like the Zoo-Quiz, poster competition, model competition, photography competition, seminar competition, drawing competition, essay writing, Rangoli competition and Poem competition.
Wild Life Week: Wildlife Week has been celebrated for the last two years to create awareness of wildlife conservation among the students. Students displayed posters and photographs of wild animals.
Add-on Courses: Vermitechnology Course for Management of Biodegradable Waste has is conducted in collaboration with INORA, Pune, for last 13 years,The animal model in developmental biology course conducted from last four years, Animal tissue culture is conducted in collaboration with the biotechnology department, The beekeeping course has is conducted in collaboration with CBRTI Pune from last two years, Hands-on Techniques in Molecular biology course was conducted for two years, Eight days Hands-on workshops on Taxonomy for beginners, Limnology course.
Institutional visits/field visits/study tours: The department organises institutional visits to Mahabaleshwar (Apiculture Institute), Wai (Sericulture Institute), ZSI- Pune, BAIF- Pune, Government fish seed farm-Hadapsar, CBRTI-Pune, NIO- Goa and study tour to wild life sanctuary, tiger reserve, Konkan, Karnataka to explore wild life and on field experience to students.
