Research Activities:
- ICSSR Major Project Titled ‘Emotional Intelligence among Adolescents: Tool Development, Enhancement through Training, and Study of Correlates ’ (grant worth Rs. 17 lakhs) was completed at the department. Principal Investigator: Dr. Amruta Oke
- Every year Many students of department participate in Avishkar competition.
- Yuva Sanshodhak: A number of students participated in Yuva Sanshodhak Scheme organized by college.
- Prof. Smita Vaidya has published paper, titled ‘Relationship between Adjustment and Psychological Well-Being in College Students’ December, 2019. She has also guided ‘Yuva Sanshodhak Scheme’ Team, and has received 2nd She has also co-authored 7 papers, published across various renowned journals.
- Dr. Shradha Sakatkar has co-authored 8 papers, published across various renowned journals. She was also invited as resource person in various institutes. She has also conducted 7 training programs for supervisors and coordinators of Parivartan Training Institute (Doorstep School Foundation, Pune and West Bengal Branch) on ‘Team Building and Team Management’, ‘Parenting Styles’.
- Prof. Uma Desai presented a paper titled ‘The Lived Experiences of People having Different Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity and Effects of being Associated with an Organized Committee- A Qualitative Study’ at International Conference of Indian Academy of Health Psychology, 2024.
- Prof. Rashmi Kadam received 3rd prize in paper presentation on ‘Mental Imagery and Anxiety in Sports’ at the national level conference named Innovations in Mental Health: Fostering contemporary modalities for a healthier future at St. Mira’s College, Pune in 2024.
- Prof. Prajakta Jori presented a paper titled ‘Psychosomatic Symptoms, Perceived Social Support and Coping among Working Women and Homemakers’ at International Conference of Indian Academy of Health Psychology, 2024.
- Prof. Akanksha Bramhe has co-authored 5 papers and authored one paper, published across various renowned journals. Co-authored 3 books for UG courses under SODL and 5 books for SYBA for Nirali Publications, Pune. Completed Certification in Expressive Arts Therapy.
- Faculty, Ganesh Pawar has co-authored 9 papers, published across various renowned journals.
- Student Isha Rakhee achieved 2nd position in Avishkar Competition at State level organized by Savitribai Phule Pune University.
- Ms. Ishita Kulkarni got selected for state level competition (2018)
- 25 Post-Graduate students have published research papers across various renowned peer-reviewed journals.
