Physics - Research Centre
Introduction
The SPPU approved Physics Research Center was established in 2020. At present, Dr. Nileshkumar Pardeshi is Head of the Research Center. Dr. S. S. Patil is now working as Co-ordinator of the center. The Physics Research Center is actively involved in different research areas like Material Science, Nanoscience and nanotechnology, Energy Studies, Quantum Computing etc. The research is mainly focused on synthesis of nanomaterials, nanocomposites and thin films by using different synthesis techniques for the application in the field of sensors, supercapacitor, batteries, solar cell and field emission microscopy. The different materials like oxides, sulphides, carbides, graphene, reduced graphene oxides etc are studied. The faculty of the department has collaborations with the renowned institutes such as SPPU, CMET, BARC, IISc, NIT etc. At present there are 3 guides attached to this research center, having 5 Ph.D. students registered under them.
