The Research Centre in Microbiology was established in 2019. Research Centre has 2 guides: Dr. Shilpa Mujumdar and Dr. Rebecca Thombre. Currently four research students are enrolled for PhD under the guidance of Dr. Shilpa Mujumdar. The research area of the enrolled students is application of biosurfactants or bioemulsifier in the field of bioremediation and biomedical field, metagenomic studies of bacterial cultures, agricultural microbiology and medical Microbiology.
