Seeking to engage all PG Micro alumni in a mutually beneficial, lifelong connection to each other and encourage alumni support and guidance to advance Department of Microbiology’s eminence for future generations. The PG Alumni Association of Department of Microbiology was established in 2012. The Alumni of the department envisions strengthening the association of the department by organizing guest lectures and visits from personnel with related industries and research institutes. The alumni members interact with the present students resolving their issues regarding job and research opportunities in the field. The Alumni team works to create a suitable and potential platform for the present students to be aware of the ongoing updates in the field of Microbiology.

The objects and purposes of the Alumni are to promote the interest and welfare of the Department and its alumni; to inspire, develop and maintain the interest of the alumni in the Department; to help alumni keep alive the friendships, associations and interests they formed as students at the department; to maintain close cooperation among alumni and to establish a medium through which the alumni may support.

The alumni association structure comprises of a chairman, secretary, treasurer and executive members, all appointed to work unrelentingly for the benefit of the students of the department. They have been nominated and elected through procedures established and administered by Department of Microbiology. The members gather suitable opportunities for present students to expose them to the requirements and expectations from students when working in industries and research institutes.
