Darpan Fashion Show
- The students of Diploma in Dress Designing & Tailoring of UGC’s Community College at Modern College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Shivajinagar, Pune organized their Annual Fashion Show- ‘Darpan’ on 23rd February 2018. At the event the students showcased 60 garments designed and stitched by them comprising of six collections based on various conceptual themes. The collections included ‘upscale garments designed from traditional silk saree, hand painted raw silk garments themed on butterflies, indo-western kurtis in cotton and silk, colorful silk ghagras and kurtas, dresses designed in raw muslin, western gowns embellished with bright paper origami patterns. The collections showcased the students creativity, out of the box thinking, understanding various fabrics, garment construction details, skills in stitching- embroidery.
