The Department of German, Progressive Education Society’s Modern College of Arts, Science and Commerce (Autonomous), Shivajinagar, Pune, in collaboration with Ludwig-Maximilians-University, Munich, Germany, is organizing an International Conference on the theme Representation of India in German Literature.

The conference has been conceptualized and designed by Prof. Sneha Mahajan (Head, Department of German, Modern College, Pune) and Dr. Anna Axtner-Borsutzky (Assistant Professor, LMU, Munich). It aims to bring together eminent academicians and scholars from both India and Germany to deliberate on the diverse perspectives and portrayals of India in German literature.
The event is being organised under the guidance of P.E.Society Chairman Hon’ble Prof. Dr. Gajanan R. Ekbote, Secretary Prof. Shamkant S. Deshmukh, Joint Secretary and Chairperson CDC Prof. Dr. Mrs. Jyotsna G. Ekbote , Principal Prof. Dr. Nivedita G. Ekbote and Faculty of Arts Vice-Principal Prof. Mrs. Alka Kamble.
This international academic initiative seeks to foster cultural and literary exchange while strengthening academic collaboration between India and Germany.
