The BCA Science was established in 2017. We strongly believe in achieving excellence in everything we do. We are at par with the changing technology in terms of infrastructure and knowledge. Realising industry demand, we put in constant efforts in moulding futuristic technologists today. Our alumni hold important positions in leading organizations across the globe.

The faculty members are well qualified, dedicated, focused and highly motivated. They work consistently to take the Department forward. Many staff members have published several books which are widely used by all Computer Science students and also hold positions on several college- and university-level committees including Board of Studies, syllabi revision committees, paper setting and evaluation panels, etc. The department has well-furnished classrooms and state-of-the-art laboratories.

We have a dedicated team of IT Experts, Alumni and non-teaching staff. The active and highly qualified team of Faculty members spare no efforts to keep the students well informed and updated with current trends in technology. The students also reciprocate with their high achievements in academics, extra curricular activities and Placements.

The Department gives quality education to students as well as works for their overall development. Several curricular and co-curricular activities are organized to develop the overall personality of the students. The Department also encourages students to enroll in NCC/NSS and participate in various competitions organized by other Departments in the college and at other institutions.

The students of the department are in high demand by the IT industry due to their strong academic foundation combined with excellent technical skills. The department puts in special efforts for the placement activity for undergraduate as well as postgraduate students. We conduct various activities throughout the year to make the students Industry-ready. These include Soft skills training, technical and aptitude test preparations, seminars by leading IT experts, and also project mentorship.

Several known IT companies conduct recruitment drives every year, some of them are TechMahindra, Quickheal, TCS, CapeGemini, Cognizant, Omniscient, Harbinger Systems, Spring CT, Persistent Systems.

We are proud that the students opt for our centre with highest priority. As a result, the students of Modern College, Shivajinagar, Pune-5 are at the forefront in the IT field. During their graduate and postgraduate studies they undertake Projects which are relevant to the current industry needs. These projects help students to apply their theoretical knowledge to real life situations.

Through practical demonstrations, guest lectures, group discussions, etc., we bring the latest in computer technology to our students. Co-curricular activities sharpen their minds and other skills that help in their overall development.
