Avishkar - Avishkar 2026-27

Guidance Workshop on Avishkar 2026–27 was organized on Friday, 4th September 2026 at Modern College of Arts, Science and Commerce (Autonomous), Shivajinagar, Pune-411005. All the guests and students were welcomed by Ms. Nirmiti More. The respected Principal, Dr. Nivedita Ekbote, addressed the students and emphasized the importance of developing a research-oriented and innovative mindset. She encouraged students to identify problems, think creatively and actively participate in Avishkar. The key speaker for this workshop was Dr. Shilpa Mujumdar, Vice Principal and ARC, who mentioned that His Excellency, Mr. S. M Krishnamurthi, Governor of Maharashtra started it in 2006. She briefed the students about Avishkar concept, objectives, guidelines, eligibility, research streams, judging criteria, stages of competition, rewards and important rules. She also guided the students regarding poster and PPT presentation formats, presentation skills, team composition and interdisciplinary research topics. After this the function was concluded by the vote of thanks given by Ms. Nirmiti More and important messages regarding Avishkar were conveyed by Ms. Shivani Gaonkar. The workshop was attended by 121 students and teaching staff members from Arts, Commerce and Science faculties. The session provided students with essential guidance and motivation to participate in Avishkar 2026–27 with innovative research ideas.
